Ahhhhh the adventures we as grandparents have with our grandchildren. Saturday morning DH and I were held captive ......... where, how ....... you ask ....... Ahhhhh a SWIM MEET. Oh the joy of winter swimming. LOL

Meet Starts 9AM
312 kids in the 10 & Under age group
Those 312 competed in 1182 events.
312 kids which equals to about 377 adults and another 80 siblings (not swimming). 700+ in a tiny gym.
The noise was well how to put it ..... deafing ...........
Our little guy only swam 3 times.
Over .... well let's just say we left at 12:30PM
He did a super job but man it was a long time between events.
Make no mistake DH and I love every moment spent with our GC no matter what we're doing or where we at (even a swim meet) ....... heaven on earth.
NOTE: Photo at top is from this summer swimteam, North Hills Sprinters. I couldn't find a winter photo .... guess I'll have to take one this week. LOL

He is just precious. We went to see my daughter cheerlead the other day. They only did 2 cheers. We kept waiting and waiting to see more but they were more interested in eating the snacks. It was so cute though.
I know the swim team routine all too well. My daughter is a butterflier and currently swims for Northwestern University in IL. It was a huge investment of time and energy, but we both met a lot of great people along the way. You're creating great memories for your grandson. Good job!
