Marshmellow & Weinie Roast

We worked hard on our landscape, cleaning up the yards, mowing grass, planting flowers. So we gathered at GC's house to have a marshmellow and weinie roast at GC house to top off the day.

Under the blue sky ......... it was the ending to a perfect day.

Daddy made new roasting sticks ..... do not try this at home (hint ... the tape melts and your fork will fall off). LOL

For all you country folks this is know as a City Fire ........ perfect for marshmellows and vienna sausages (kids love them).

Sing some songs and tell jokes .....

AND invite a neighborhood friend to enjoy in the fun.

Oh dear all the vienna sausages are gone ..... let's roast a hunk of turkey.

I should have brought a quilt over ... as soon as the sun went down it was chilly.
Pappy telling a ghost story (almost one that is).

Having fun ...........

Best friends.............

Good Night, Sweet Dreams ...............

No Escape For Us This Time

We live down in a valley and usually the bad weather just passes right over us. I thought for sure we were going to escape the snow storm heading our way from the west.
At 2AM I let the cats out .... no snow ... at 5AM DH let the cats back in ... it was just starting to sleet. Then at 8AM the snow came in full force. We even had to cancel Quilt Guild due to the roads and weather.

So the GC had some fun. GS helped shovel.

GD#1 had a friend stay over on Friday night. She's stranded in town now as there's no way to get to her home outside of town.

Happy CHRISTMAS Faces .........

Christmas this year was GREAT even with our water problems. We had to move the gifts upstairs due to the broken water line.
A couple of happy faces on Christmas morning.
The girls each got their own laptops. GS got a 'faux' 4 wheeler.

Oh and this photo reflects their "favorite" gift they each received from mom and dad.

Yep, it's UNDERWEAR (what everyone wants to get for Christmas).

My 3 Greatest Loves

Our friends know we are crazy about our 3 GC. In fact, our properties connect so we see or talk to them everyday. We love it. Yes, I know people think we nuts but we were both had extremely close relationships with our grandparents so this is just natural to us. I babysit them after school, help them get ready in the morning and we drop them off at school.
