NQA Show 2009

DH and I headed to the NQA Show on Friday. Oh my ... the vendors, the quilts, the people and ugh the rain.

We did stop at my most favorite place, The Waffle House, I adore their pecan waffles.

It was the BEST show ever (I think). I bought a few things like thread, pantographs, fabric for Christmas Lights Mystery (Bonnie Hunter) and just one kit.

The quilts were wonderful, terrific and THE BEST. DH helped me take photos so they are not in order per the guide. I can't wait for NQA 2010 Show in Columbus again.

Slideshow, enjoy

NOTE: Photos were allowed to be taken by ordinary folks, like us. No notice was displayed about not posting them anywhere. If you see your quilt and prefer that no photo display, please email me giving my photo number and I'll be happy to delete it.

Nolting PRO 24" Long Arm

Meet Prince Charming II ............

Back in mid-June DH and I traveled to Columbus, Ohio for the NQA Show. While wandering around checking everything out we (DH & I) found ourselves at the Nolting booth. Dan from Nolting and Mike (new Nolting dealer) from Memory Lane Quilting were showing off their stuff. To make a long story short they offered me a deal I couldn't refuse ....... I'm the proud owner of a Nolting PRO 24" plus hydraulic legs (heaven). And I also got the "M" bobbin ... love how much bobbin thread it holds. I traded my Nolting 18". The wait began from June to August.

On Aug. 24 Mike and Bonnie arrived to set up Prince Charming II ......... they are definitely pros at setups and teardown. I know we're going to have a great owner/dealer relationship. 2PM we were waving good-bye to each other.

Gordon (Nolting) has designed a new side shaft foot for quilting .... it's wonderful especially for SID (stitch in the ditch). The foot allows complete view all the way around .... no part of a quilt can hide from me now. AND it's so easy to thread. I LOVE IT.

NQA Show in Columbus, Ohio

I know you guys are tired of seeing/reading about my GC ....... so here is some quilt news.

On Friday DH and I drove up to Columbus, Ohio to attend the NQA Show (National Quilting Association) .

I took a few photos of the quilts I liked.

The 1st two photos are of Sharon Schamber's, The Spirit of Mother Earth, which took her 2 years to quilt. The next quilt is of a Fireplace Scene which we loved. Towards the end of the photos are a few of the little quilts donated for auction.

Mark your calendars for next year ....... June 18-20, 2009
