I Need Help
I would love to quilt this top .... I'm clueless on what to do...
I considered my Circle Lord swirls, baptist fan or even clamshell templates. I thought about one of the zillions of pantographs. I'm stuck.
Do you have an idea? PLEASE PLEASE let me a comment with an idea,
This is a Bonnie Hunter pattern called Strip Twist.

Swine Flu Has Landed
Poor GD#1 was sent home from School .... you must go to the doctor in order to return. Oops doctor says "It's the Swine Flu". So she'll be staying with us, we're hoping that brother and sister don't get it. Presently there are 650 kids out of her high school alone.
Be on the look out:
Fever
Cough
Sore throat
Body aches
Headache
Chills
Fatigue
Some people have also reported diarrhea and vomiting.
Sew Mama Sew ... I'm Out
I heard from Sew Mama this morning that my Napkin Tutorial doesn't qualify. Apparently the post had to be NEW 9/17 - 10/23. Guess I should have just copied the tutorial into a new post to qualify. Bummer
Hope everyone else enjoy it the tutorial.

Happy 96th Birthday
Valerie's Granny of Life's Little Garden blog will celebrate her 96th birthday later this week. Granny sews Mon-Thur. I love reading about Granny, she reminds me of my own grandmothers who are long gone.
I made Granny a fabric postcard for her birthday .... sent it off over the weekend. I hope she enjoys it.
I did place mine in a regular envelope for mailing. It's not that I don't trust the post office but they do charge extra to hand cancel.
I hope you'll stop over and take a few moments to read about Granny and maybe wish her a Happy 96th Birthday. She is one wonderful woman.
NOTE: If you're interested here are some more postcards I made and some I received in trade several years ago.

Monday Thought
Life is too short to wake up with regrets.
Love the people who treat you right.
Forget about the ones who don't.
Believe everything happens for a reason.
If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands.
If it changes your life, let it.
Nobody said life would be easy.
They just promised it would be worth it.
Friends are like balloons.
Once you let them go, you can't get them back.
So I'm gonna tie you to my heart so I never lose you.
Note: Author Unknow. Thanks to my good friend Thelma for the ballons ... love it.

Blogger's Quilt Festival - Fall 2009
I've chosen the following quilt for Amy's blogger quilt festival. This was my very first custom longarm quilt as I'm a pantograph charity quilter. I quilt with a terrific group every Wed., Stitcher's Group. We made the wall hanging for our friend Sharon who was moving away (we miss her so). She sews on a featherweight.
This is my spool thread block
I searched out help from lots of other longarm quilters. I used a piece of vinyl to decided on my quilting .... worked out wonderfully.
More photos can be found HERE
I learned so much from quilting this quilt in the custom format .... someday I'll make myself one.
Thanks for stopping by and looking. Be sure to visit all the other quilts ... over 300 at this time.
