Small party was held after Mass ... each Family decorated their table. We got the idea for the center piece from Make and Takes website.












GS loves to play racquet ball ... now he has his own. He's pretty good too.

Lucy's Quilt

Lucy (who's in my Wed. Stitchers Group) fell in love with an animal fabric panel that Nancy purchased. The store was out of the panel so Lucy bought herself yardage to make a quilt for her "future GC". Lucy doesn't sew (she knits/crochets) so I offered to help out. I took her sweet animals home and quilted it for her.

I used the Ebb & Flow pantograph by Lorien Quilting but turned the fabric on my Nolting lengthwise so it has more of a leaf looking type motif.


Oh my look at my sweet gift from Lucy ....... I love it. Thank you Lucy.

Wishing my own Mother a very Happy Mother's Day. Although we are many many miles apart you're always in my mind. I LOVE YOU.

The Dancer

GD#2 is crazy for dancing, in fact, she takes lessons 4 times a week. A variety of styles but her greatest love is Ballet. This year she actually has "toe lessons".

GD#1 is a junior this year. She attended The Prom last Saturday (May 2). We can't believe she's old enough for The Prom.

Tribute to MISTER

It is with a heavy heart that I write our sad news on MISTER, my DH's beloved companion, passed away on Wednesday.

He took ill on Sunday with his little left back leg no longer working. DH rushed him to the vet on Monday morning. Lots of tests later showed that he had many medical problems and probably had cancer.

Mister came to our house several summers ago as a stray. From the onset DH and Mister were constant companions. When winter came Mister became part of the family. He loved DH very much, laying by the bathroom door, crying when DH went to work and loved being cradled in DH's arms. He definitely was a one man cat.

We will miss him very much. We're sure he's at Rainbow Bridge with our beloved dog Buddy Butte.

Quilt for Alycia's Project

I actually finished this quilt a couple weeks ago. There has been so much going on this month that I didn't have time to take photos and post until now.

I'm part of a big online charity group. This quilt is being donated from The Quilting Bee forum . The rail fence center was made by Roslyn Atwood. I hope you'll jump over and visit The Quilting Bee, a fantastic forum. And please stop by Roslyn's blog ... she is so generous and giving.

I added the 2 borders and then used Prince Charming (Nolting 24" PRO) to quilt it. It's quilted with the Ebb & Flow pantograph of Lorien Quilting for the design. I love that pantograph ... the design lends itself to so many quilt projects.

The 2nd border design is postage stamps .... I thought it was so appropriate for a military quilt .... they do travel the world.

Today I mailed it off to Alycia for her Soldier Quilt Project from The Quilting Bee group. .

Mister needs your prayers

Mister is DH's cat. Last summer Mister started hanging around so we took him in. He definitely was someones beloved cat as he had already been fixed and seemed well cared for when he came to our porch. He's approximately 10 years old, we think.

Anyway Mister and DH are very attached to each other ......... they are always together.

Something went wrong with Mister's left back leg on Sunday ....... the leg is totally limp and he isn't able to walk. Poor Mister.

DH rushed him to the Vet this morning. They said nothing was broken so test are being run .... I hope we find out today as DH is going out of town on business for the week.

If you have time say a little prayer for our Mister to get well. THANKS

UPDATE 1PM: Well something is wrong with his liver, blood work came back yellow (?), thyroid might not be right either. Also blood is not flowing to that limb thus the reason it's not working. Now I might not have all this exactly right .... they're keeping him a couple days. Poor old guy.

Stitchers Group

I'm part of a small group that meets on Wednesday .... we're not a quild, club ... we just enjoy each others company and love sewing together.

The above stacked of nine quilts are part of our charity drive for Gabriel Project. So far this year we have donated close to 30 baby quilts.
